Welcome to BSA Troop 235 website.

Interested in joining our Troop?

Ages: Boy Scouts is for all boys ages 11-17 (Grades 5-12).

Meetings: Troop 235 meets on Tuesday nights at 7:00 in the new Fellowship Building at Red Hill Lutheran Church, located at 13200 Red Hill Avenue, Tustin, CA 92780.

You are always welcome to visit our Troop meetings and learn about our many activities. We are very active and camp almost every month. You can reach our membership chair at membership@troop235.com and we can schedule a visit and let you know what activities are planned for upcoming meetings.

Introduction to Backpacking

Start: March 15, 2025
End: March 16, 2025

Location: Hubert Eaton Scout Reservation 29485 Hook Creek Rd, Cedar Glen, CA 92321

Event Details:
This is an introduction to Backpacking trip for Troop 235 scouts. Prior experience with backpacking is not required to sign up for this trip.

Every participant (youth and adult) will need to have their own backpack along with all the necessary gear to camp overnight. Troop leadership will provide a demonstration of backpacking gear at the troop meeting on Tuesday, March 4th 2025.

There will be a mandatory gear check at the troop meeting on March 11th. All participants (youth and adult) need to bring their backpacks along with all gear for review with Mr. Gogosha.

Unfortunately, REI no longer offers rental program for backpacking packs. Crew members are
encouraged to use their scouting funds from Tree Lot 2024 to look for good deals on backpacks. It is highly recommended to get your backpack fitted properly. REI staff are very good at offering tips on proper fitting of backpacks.

Where: Hubert Eaton Scout Reservation

Our troop will travel to Hubert Eaton Scout Reservation. Upon arrival, crew members will hike for a distance between 3 and 5 miles to reach our campsite.
 The campsite has access to potable (drinking water)

Troop Website User Guide for PLC leaders

During the Patrol Leaders Council Meeting, some youth leaders had questions about their usernames and passwords for logging on the troop website. Please review the attached user guide for details on how to reset your passwords. The guide also provides details about other email groups that are useful for PLC members.

Philo's Eagle Scout Project

Hello Everyone! My name is Philo Girgis and I am a life scout in Troop 235. I am raising funds for my Eagle Project. For my Eagle Project, I will build 4 new benches for Myford Elementary School and renovate their garden. I will also be holding a fundraiser at the Tustin Marketplace Chickfila on Thursday, February 20, 2025.

Pack 851 Bridging

Scouts Needed for Bridging – Pack 851

February 21st 2025 - 7:15 PM - 8:00 PM

We need some scouts to come help for the bridging ceremony for Arrow of Light scouts from Pack
851 into the troop on February 21st 2025. We have 3 Arrow of Light scouts bridging from Pack 851
to Troop 235 this year.

Let us know if you are coming. Class A uniform (including merit badge sashes) for all attending!

Scout Sunday will be held at Red Hill Lutheran on February 9, 2025.
Scouts should appear in Class A with sash to participate.

Scout Sunday is the day we join our charter organization’s community in faith and fellowship to practice reverence and our duty to God. Since the inception of scouting, Scout Sunday has served as an opportunity to take a moment and reflect on our faith—the founding pillar of the AHG and BSA programs. If you would like to join us, please arrive in uniform at Red Hill Lutheran Church no later than 9:45 AM so that we can walk into the sanctuary together for the 10:00 AM service. The service will end around 11:00 AM.
